( of cities) to vist. If you are looking for at least two of these things, then
you will be guaranteed a great weekend getaway..
Apartment Details
These apartments are on the third floor of a residential block and have a lift.
The apartments have recently been refurbished and include air-conditioning.
The first apartment has two double bedrooms with brand new beds, one of which
is a super king size and the other a king size. A new standard single bed can
be placed in the larger bedroom if required.
The lining/dining room has
a TV, DVD player, large sofa, dining table with seating for five and
a double sofa bed.
The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven,
and all other kitchen utensils. There is an iron and ironing board. The large
bathroom has a full size bath and shower with instant hot water.
The second apartment is exactly the same only with a double bedroom and a single
bedroom.
Location
The apartments are a two-minute walk from the top of La Rambla de Catalunya.
From there the walk down to the Placa de Catalunya is interesting as
the street has many tapas bars where you can enjoy a tapas and beer
in the open air. (This street is one of the main shopping areas in Barcelona).
At the end of the street, you arrive in the famous Las Ramblas, which
in turn will take you down to the harbor.
Transport
The metro is 100 yards away from the apartment and is centrally located for all
parts of Barcelona. Taxis are cheap and £2.50 will get you to most places.
Nightlife
There are three main areas of nightlife - the first being the Mare magnum complex
on the sea front. This is the main area where tourists go and mingle with the
Spanish people, which can be a great start to the evening. The second is Las Ramblas
in the Gothic area which again is a neat place for tourists to visit .The third
area of night life is Calle Santaló/Regás ( five minutes walk from
the apartment ) which is full of trendy bars and is the main area for the locals
and the Europeans who live in Barcelona. Also three minutes walk from the apartment
is the famous Otto Zutz’s nightclub that doesn't open till 2.00am and goes
on until the early hours.
