The apartment (total area: 93 m2) has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a living room looking out onto the glass elevators of the Reina Sofia museum. No effort has been spared to make your stay memorable; satellite TV, audio system, telephone/fax as well as linen, towels, etc. are provided. The apartment also has air conditioning (living room only), central heating, a dishwasher etc. Many typical restaurants, as well as a McDonald's, can be found in the surrounding area. Besides Thyssen, Prado and Reina Sofia, there are also many art galleries, which rank among the most important in town. A 15 minute-walk past some historical sites such as Plaza Santa Ana will bring you to the Puerta del Sol, the heart of Madrid. The magnificent art nouveau Atocha railway station is just across the road. There you can board trains that will take you to Toledo and all other historical towns surrounding Madrid such as Avila, Segovia and Salamanca. The Ave high-speed train will get you to Seville in just two hours. The Atocha underground station and various bus stops are just round the corner. Cars can be left in the public car park in the square in front of the apartment. The international airport is at a distance of some 15 km. A 10-minute walk will bring you to a cinema showing VO films, or to the Café Central where international jazz musicians play every night. Pets are not allowed.
