One
of Andalucia's best kept secrets is the El Torcal Natural Park, located in the
mountains behind Malaga. This villa nestles in one of the valleys close to El
Torcal in what can only be described as a paradise setting. The only sounds to
disturb your peace will be the distant tinkling of the goat bells. This two bedroom
cottage with its beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, open fireplace and charming
mix of antique furnishings and country style fabrics is a romantic and ideal hideaway.
Although
full of rustic charm, modern comforts are not forgotten. The kitchen is equipped
to the highest standard. There is satellite TV and video connected. The outside
terraces complete with built-in barbecue and both open and covered areas are the
perfect place for "al fresco" dining or simply sipping a gin and tonic while watching
another superb sunset! Steps from the terrace lead down to the swimming pool,
measuring 5 m x 10 m. Elegant teak wood sun beds and garden furniture blend in
beautifully with the natural countryside flowers.

More Details
This cottage is most definitely a romantic hideaway, but it is not inaccessible.
The access is via an side road, approximately 2.3 kilometers from the tarmac road
between Villanueva de la Concepción and La Joya. We do however recommend
a 4 wheel drive vehicle in winter months.
Close by to a wonderful hotel, guests of this villa can also opt for romantic
candlelight dinner on the hotel dining room terrace. Tennis, horseback riding,
massage treatments, hot air balloon flights and many other activities can be booked
through the hotel reception. Closest shops can be found at La Joya village (4
kilometres) and Villanueva de la Concepción (4 kilometers).
Antequera, just 16 kilometers away, is
a historic ancient town dating back to Moorish times. It is also known as the
crossroads of Andalucia, as the Andalucia motorway network links here, thus making
day trips to Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Ronda feasible and hassle free. There
is also a train station in Antequera, with daily trains to all of Andalucia's
most popular cities. Walkers will be in their element here. The hotel will provide
you with many varied maps and routes for walking within the area and park.
